Here are a few other projects I’ve enjoyed working on.

Luxury Sock Packaging

Industrial Design
E-Flute Cardboard
I created packaging for a pair of socks using a single 16” x 24” sheet of E-flute cardboard, without tape, glue, or other materials, and using only tabbing techniques to construct it.

This packaging was designed with high end men’s socks as the intended contents, and customers of designer men’s clothing stores as the intended users.

To make the plain cardboard packaging look and feel deluxe, I focused on important details such as hiding exposed cardboard fluting, minimizing slot tabs, and creating a lid and closure that felt like a luxurious experience to open. I achieved this by utilizing tension tabs to hold the doubled layer of cardboard that formed the smooth edges of the body and lid. I also crafted a snap closure that opens and closes with a satisfying click!

The overall shape is geometric but minimal, adding to the luxurious design of the packaging.

"Small Pleasures" Book Cover

Graphic Design
Illustrator
I was challenged to design a book cover for Alain de Botton’s book, Small Pleasures. I aimed to capture the book’s themes of simplicity, reflection, and comfort in my design.

I used a muted color palette with low contrast to create an overall gentle impression. I added six identical windows to create uniformity, then I broke the uniformity by adding flowers with hanging vines to the window closest to where I placed the title and author text, to draw the eye to that area. The flowers on the windowsill conveys the overall theme of the book, which is that the beauty of small pleasures is found when one takes the time to notice, reflect on, and appreciate them.
